When Vietnam fell to the communist they were persecuted, so the United States offered them a place to come to for their help. Several million Hmong have come to the United States to start new lives because it isn’t safe to live in Laos.

But, it's also important to us because there are different kinds of hmong people, and on New Years day, we would wear special beautiful dresses that indicate us women if we are hmong green, white..etc. White Hmong women would wear white skirts..etc. Special patterns have been made like cross-stitching, chain stitch..
