no, slavery wasnt made illegal until after the civil war which was in 1865 the year 1700 was before the dec. of independence which was signed in 1776 -this person is stupid. the question is legal, not illegal. If anyone can help, please enter your help here!- The real answer is that slavery was legal everywhere except Georgia. It wasn't until 1752 that slavery was opened to Georgia. Also, Spanish Florida was also a safe haven for escaped/freed slaves. *Fun Fact-- The Carolina's actually sold Native Americans in their own slave trade. They soon stopped because it wasn't as profitable.*
England never cancelled Christmas

Wheat, legumes, tobacco, sesame and unirrigated vegetables are grown in zone 1, which has more than 350 mm of rainfall, and wheat, barley and forage in zone 2, with between 250 and 350 mm. In zone 5, which has less than 200 mm annually, only irrigated crops are grown.

well it wasnt until after the French and Indian war that England really tried to totally control the colonies. They imposed taxes, such as the stamp act, and the tea tax. Some of the colonies had governors apointed by the British to run their colony. They also didnt want the colonies to engage in trade with other countries so they would try to control ports. The proclamation of 1763 also stated that colonists couldn't move into the land west of the Appalachian mountains.
