The two views were totally opposite to each other. When the Europeans landed they saw a land without ownership and with no fences . They came from places that land had been owned by someone for centuries and divided up. While the Native American views of land was that no one can own land, but they are to protect it and to make sure that the plants and animals were not waisted. The Europeans came without respect for the people who had been living on these lands for thousands of years. They brought foreign animals, plants, and insects with them practicing environmental terrorism on the native people . Forests were cut down and fenced off in an effort to create another England. The result was starvation, diseases, death and the removal of Native people from their ancestral lands.
