The only wood shavings that are safe for small pets, especially guinea pigs, are aspen shavings. DO NOT USE CEDAR. Carefresh bedding is hypoallergenic and the best option for bedding. Using exclusively hay isn't a very good idea, as it's not soft enough for guinea pigs to walk and sleep on if it's the only bedding used.
This is perfectly normal, he/she probably just has an allergy. Try using straw instead of hay/sawdust as its less dusty.
If it's all the time, he may need to go to the vet. If it's just an occasional sneeze, he's probably fine.
Cedar woodchips as bedding make most, if not all, small fuzzy animals sneeze. Switch to pine or aspen or something other than wood shavings to stop it. If there's still sneezing, see the vet asap.
It is not normal for your pig to sneeze more than once every day/few days! I have had four guinea pigs, and I have sadly lost 3 of them to upper respatory infections. The main sign of this illness is sneezing! If your pig sneezes be sure to separate it from all other small pets because it is EXTREMELY contagious. Take your pig right to the vet!
There are many things that can make a Piggy Sneeze, the two most common are Upper Respiratory Infections, and Allergies. If your piggy is sneezing a lot, go to the vet. The first action would be a round of antibiotics. If that doesn't work, your vet can also try putting your Piggy on a Antihistamine (Like Benadril). Hope that helps!
don't use penicllian or ambacillin ****Not strictly to do wjth subject but add to warnig on cedar shaving bedding. AVOID any percentage of black walnut wood shavings. Recently learnt that even 10 or 20 % black walnut woodshavings in stable bedding for horses, can lead to founder (laminitis) in less than 48 hours. With that sort of effect on horses, and a lot more worrying info in gov't sites for America and Canada, best to keep well away.
No, I am not allergic to my hamster. That is because I am not allergic to many things. But some people are allergic to some types of animals.
Histamine is the small molecule that can cause an allergic reaction. It is a compound released by immune cells in response to an allergen and triggers symptoms such as itching, sneezing, and swelling. Antihistamines are commonly used to alleviate these allergic reactions by blocking histamine's effects.

No. In fact, there are a lot of people who don't have allergies.
Food, animals, environment, basically anything that has movable particles that you can breathe or eat.
Any living creature can have allergic reactions. Common allergic symptoms are rashes, itching, lethargy, loss of appetite, coughing, sneezing or vomiting. More serious reactions include anaphylactic shock, which can result in death. A vet can help you determine if your cat has an allergy through a blood test.
Allergic rhinitis results in symptoms of sneezing, congestion, and a runny nose. However, you can control these symptoms with medicine and by avoiding the things that cause them (allergens). If you are allergic to indoor allergens, such as dust mites, animal dander, and mold, you can take some simple steps to get them out of your house.

If you are allergic to rabbits, it is best to avoid contact with them. Symptoms of an allergic reaction may include sneezing, itching, or hives. Consider consulting with an allergist to determine the best course of action for managing your allergy.
It really depends on YOUR hamster. It can be allergic to its food, bedding or even the house hold items in your house. But not every hamster has allergy's.
It's quite simple. You can get a hairless cat or dog (but I would suggest not, because they're not the cutest things out there), or you can get a snake, lizard, or gecko. But if I was allergic to fur, I would get a fish or a parakeet.
First of all, Hedgehogs DO NOT fall under the family Rodentia. They fall under the family Erinaceidae. Most people are not allergic to hedgehogs. If you are allergic to hedgehogs, you are likely allergic to their quills and not their fur.
