The A/V cable that comes with the PS3 does not provide for HDTV connection that will receive a HD signal to the TV from the PS3, it does however allow the PS3 to work on any TV that has RCA input plugs including HDTV. You must purchase a HDMI cable or component PS3 cable to connect the PS3 if you have HDTV and want the best picture. For internet connection the PS3 does have WiFi, but if you want a wired connection to the internet you must purchase an ethernet cable. The controller does come with a USB cable to allow charging of the controller, but if you purchase an additional controller you must either purchase another USB cable or share the one that came with the system between the controllers.
