If you mean do you need Halo 3 to run Halo Reach then the answer is no. You can just buy a copy of Halo Reach pu it in your games console and play. I suggest if you do get it you get the limited edition one.

You need the Halo 3:ODST campaign disk.
The Halo: Reach BETA is only available on the Xbox360 through your Halo 3:ODST campaign disk.
You put in your Halo 3:ODST campaign disk and go to play the BETA and download it.
There is no way to get it without the Halo 3: ODST Campaign disk.
Since its after May third it should be working now.
The HALO REACH multiplayer beta is coming in May. When it does come out put your Halo 3 ODST game disk in and in should be on the Disk menu.

The Halo: Reach beta will be available May 2010 so long as you own a copy of Halo 3: ODST you will be eligible to take part.It's out. All u have to do is: Put Halo 3 odst's campaigne disk in, from the main menu go to play beta, download the beta, then start it up.
if you want to get the beta you need to have a copy of halo odst or else you cant play it. once your on the game click on play reach beta download the thing and then click on play reach beta every time you want to play. hope that helped

If you mean the Multiplayer disk that came with ODST then yes, but if you mean the ODST campaign disk then no.
Purchase a copy of Halo 3 ODST and go to Xbox LIVE, you will be sent an invitation to play. (May 3rd) You also need a gold xboxlive membership to play it and when you open up the ODST screen you will see it at the bottom in the thingy when you're about to play. It takes about 20 min.s to download and you always need to have ODST in the xbox to play it.No you dont get sent a invitation sent to u. the beta embedded onto the odst campaign disk! All u have to do is start up halo 3: odst, and from the menu select play beta, then download the beta(it does take about 20min), when it's down start it up.
