Firstly, its called just the Kinect, not Xbox 360 Kinect. The reason being is that the Kinect is a open source hardware which can be used by other companies. The kinect will connect to all Xbox 360's. With the older models, you will need to attach the power supply (included). The Xbox 360 S does not need this power supply.
July 6, 2010: There is no official name for the new Xbox 360, but Kinect is an add-on for the Xbox 360. However I'm not sure if Kinect will work for the "old" Xbox 360 and only the new Xbox 360.
you can play xbox games with kinect plugged in but unless the game sais on it that its for kinect it wont work with it.
No, you actually can use any XBOX 360 to use the Kinect. The only difference is that the new one has a powered usb port (i.e. you only need to plug the Kinect into the XBOX, and not the wall as well)
no. the only thing u need is any type of xbox 360. the kinect sensor and you.
No Kinect games come with the regular Xbox. If you buy Kinect than you get Kinect Adventures. If you a Kinect Bundle for $250 (Regular Kinect sensor is only $150 and comes with kinect adventures) than there are three games that come with the Kinect sensor. The games depend on what bundle you get.
yes you need the new version of the xbox for the kinect to work
All of the new Xbox consoles are "Kinect Ready". This means that there is a special port just for the Kinect sensor. It is a port with a little strip of orange on top of it.
No. Every XBox 360 is kinect ready, the only difference is that if you have an old one, you are required to plug kinect into a power socket, and into your xboxs usb port, whereas the new one has a special port which can power it and work as the usb. However, both leads come in the box, so it doesn't really matter.
No, Kinect works without Xbox live. If you have Live then great. Kinect adds a couple of new features to Live.
The Kinect is a add-on for the Xbox 360. There is no Kinect Xbox 360. There was the released of the Xbox 360 S, this Xbox 360 is basically a new design. The console is also more powerful in a way that it can power the Kinect only through a USB port, the older Xbox 360's does not and will need a power supply to help it.
Yes, Kinect works on all consoles. The only difference is the extra port on the back of the new xbox that makes the console look more streamlined.
Yes. Kinect uses a special connector found only on the new xbox slim. A adapter is available at xbox marketplace.
