Google Java 8 downloads, then follow the link that says "Java SE Runtime Environment 8 - Downloads - Oracle". On that page you'll see 2 boxes for the current version and 1 newer, use the current version (I never tried the 1 newer). You'll see different links for different operating systems, click on the download think that has the file description Windows x86 Offline (Offline installation, no download required during installation). When that finishes downloading you can then execute the installer, it'll install the 32-bit version that you downloaded.
Now you need to tell minecraft where this version of Java is installed. If you don't have Java installed when you run the launcher the launcher will download Java 8 Update 25 and place it in the same directory as where the launcher is located, which is okay, you'll be changing what version of Java the game will use when it starts. This path will have a slight difference if you're truly on a 32 bit OS or a 64 bit OS. Launch the Minecraft Launcher, and click on "edit profile". In the profile editor there are several settings, go down to the "Java Settings (Advanced)" section and check the box next to the word "Executable", now you need to type in the file path, it needs the javaw.exe under "bin" in your java directory. So:
The path would be this for a 64-bit OS (By default) (For Java 8 Update 101):
C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_101\bin\javaw.exe
The path would be this for a 32-bit OS (By default) (For Java 8 Update 101):
C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_101\bin\javaw.exe
Yes, you need 32 bit Java and you will be able to play.
Not at all. Minecraft REQUIRES Java. If you don't have it, sorry! It is also important when downloading Java to play Minecraft to understand whether you need the 32-bit or 64-bit version for your computer. For more information regarding this check out the guide I have included in the Related Links section below.
I think it is because I use Minecraft Beta on 64 bit Java too. :D
Yes, as you get better and higher quailty of java and lot of memory, more faster the minecraft will run. More importantly, it is better to have the correct version of Java based up whether your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit. I have included in the Related Links section below. There is also a program called Minecraft Portable that you can download that lets you install Minecraft onto a USB stick or other portable storage device. Minecraft can then be played on any computer, even without Java. You can also use Minecraft Portable to install Minecraft onto a computer that does not have Java or the Java is not working, or the necessary version. See the related link below for system requirements.
yes
Notch wrote Minecraft using the Java programming language.
No.
use a 64-bit java to run minecraft. Or install optifine to reduce lag
The Java compiler itself (javac) is a 32-bit application.
allocate more memory to run minecraft. Use a 64-bit java for optimum peformance
Based on your computer type (laptop or PC), your processing system (Mac or Windows), the age of your computer, the amount of ram you have, and your Java version (32 or 64 bit) your computer may not be able to support Minecraft.
Yes, Minecraft is a java-based game.
