Vampire's Curse Island is the 25th island in Poptropica. It was released for paid monthly members (and as a partial demo) on March 1, 2012, and for free general use on March 22, 2012. It is loosely based on the legend of Dracula.

This is a list of steps for completing the island. There is a more thorough solution at the related question below, and there is a video walkthrough at the related link. This solution contains all spoilers. To leave the island, jump hard left from the top of the rope bridge, and then left on the vines to the ledge.

The Village, and the Wolf on the Path

1) Enter the village, where family and friends believe that the young couple Christopher and Katya have gone to see the castle of Count Bram, a known vampire.

2) Exit right and discover Christopher on the path. Follow the empty snack wrappers and lighted green torches to the right and up.

3) When the red-eyed wolf charges from the cave, jump it and continue over the hill to the right. Drop down between the patches of thorns where the wolf will attack again.

4) Pull the loose branch down to whack the wolf and it runs away. Jump the thorns, continue up the stone steps and over to the left.

5) The wolf jumps you and the branch you are on breaks, dropping you back on the path below. Save the branch as a Log and repeat your climb.

6) Use the vines to continue left, then up, and back right to the rope bridge, where the wolf is again waiting. Break the bridge rope to drop the wolf, and jump across to the broken bridge. Climb past the boarded opening and go right to enter the castle grounds.

The Castle Cemetery, Moat, and Wall

7) Walk up the angled hill and enter the open crypt. Pick up the Teen Vampire Novel and the Crowbar.

8) Continue to the second crypt and the Well Pump next to the dry Castle Moat

9) Break loose the downspout at the right side of the crypt and place it on the ground a little to the right, between the crypt and the pump. You will use the pump to fill up the dry moat.

10) Jump on the pump handle, then again to flood the moat. Swim across.

* If you climb the tree, you can see a plant up on the wall, but you cannot reach it for now.

11) Enter the castle grounds. At the right, the large entrance door is locked, but there is an open window higher up. You will need to use the geysers to reach it.

12) Roll three boulders to block three of the water geysers (1st, 2nd, and 4th). There is one at the top of the rock steps to your right and two to your left. Use the crowbar to pry the second one out, and roll all three onto the geysers.

13) Ride the geyser to the window, and enter the castle.

The Great Hall (Castle Library) and Armory

14) The room is the Great Hall. In the dark room, there is a fireplace, some candles, and four overhead chandeliers. Put some pages from the Teen Vampire book,

and the log, in the fireplace. Jump a few times on the bellows at left to fan the fire

15) Once you have a fire going, you can push the ladder to the far left to reach the chandeliers, which you can light using candles. You need to jump hard to get to the next chandelier, and use the previous one to to light your candle.

16) The main door to the castle is at the right, and the door to the Armory is at the left. Use the crowbar to break the chains on the castle door.

17) On the left side between the bookcase and the the armor, pick up the Glass Eye from the floor, and place it in the eye of the stuffed tiger head (above the bookcase at left). This will reveal the key to the armory.

18) Open the Armory, and collect the Crossbow and arrows. At the far left is a large cannon and three cannonballs. You will use them to blast a way out.

19) Load one ball into the cannon, then return to the fireplace for a lit candle to light the fuse. (You should move the ladder out of your way now.) The first shot goes out the window.

20) You will have to load and fire the cannon three times: the final shot will go through the ceiling. Climb up to the large plant and pick up the wooden bucket.

21) Go back through the Library and outside to fill the bucket with water from the geyser.

22) Come back to the plant room and shoot several crossbow arrows into the wall across from the plant, so you can jump onto the arrows to reach the small plant above.

23) Water the plant with the bucket, then pry off the window boards with the crowbar. It grows out the window into an enormous beanstalk plant.

24) Exit through the window and climb the stalk to the tower above. Enter the window of the Laboratory.

The Laboratory and the Cage Room

25) In the lab, there are several ingredients being used, apparently in an attempt to cure the Count's vampirism (it seems to be based on Tomato Juice, not blood).

26) Get the Garlic from the top shelf. Count Bram's Notebook is on the desk, which describes his experiments. Looking through the microscope, you can see that adding garlic to vampire cells reverts them partly to human, but not entirely.

27) If you let the Vampire Tomato juice drip on you, you will temporarily become a Tomato Vampire. (This is harmless.)

28) In a flask is some untreated wolfsbane. According to the notebook, you will need to find some mandrake root, and wilt the wolfsbane, to make an

effective garlic mixture.

29) Exit through the door and go right into the second tower, where Katya is being held in a high cage. Apparently she resembles the Count's long-deceased wife. Katya tells you about a book in the library. (The key to release her is out of reach for now, in a locked area at the right.)

The Great Hall and The Mandrake Root

30) In the library, on the bookshelf to the right, a book has appeared called "Root Causes." Collect that and go outside, leaving the castle to find the mandrake root.

31) Outside, there is a tall wall to the right like the one in the Armory. Shoot arrows into it with the crossbow, and then climb up them before they fall out, to reach the mandrake plant.

32) Now you have all of the items that you need for the cure, except that you have to heat the wolfsbane in the lab to wilt it

33) If you find the second cannonball that you fired, which rolled into the library, it is going to come in handy. Roll it next to the fireplace, where it will become red-hot.

34) Use the *Poker* next to the fireplace to push it left into the small "dumbwaiter" that is controlled by the red wall switch (throw this if you haven't). Return to the laboratory, and throw the other red switch there.

The Cure and the Count

35) Go to the microscope and mix the ingredients to test. The proper mixture is three parts garlic (squeeze bulb three times), three parts wolfsbane (three squeezes), and one part mandrake (fill dropper). This makes the anti-vampirism serum.

36) Take the syringe next door and free Katya. (There is now a silver cane in the cane stand that you can use to hook the loop of the key in the closet.)

37) When the delusional Count Bram arrives, you will jump through the window to the wall outside. Follow Katya as she jumps from stone to stone.

38) Use the Garlic to give yourself garlic breath and stay close to Katya to repel the Count. When you reach the top, he takes the form of a bat. Use the crossbow to shoot serum darts at him. When you hit him, you will both plunge through the roof into the library.

39) His vampirism cured, the Count crumbles away, happy to finally reunite with his lost Annabelle. In his cape you will find the Island Medallion.

40) Belatedly, Christopher has gained the courage to come to Katya's aid.

Bonus Quest for Members Only

Unbeknownst to you, Christopher is now a vampire, and his bite changes you into a small blue bat. You are being pursued by the vampire hunter Cactus Von Garlic. You need to find the three ingredients to make more Anti-Vampirism serum.

1) They are located in three areas where you were previously too large to enter: the boarded door by the rope bridge (mandrake), the small hole in the second crypt (wolfsbane), and the hole in the wall between the middle chandeliers in the great hall (garlic).

2) Collect the three and dodge Von Garlic's shots. Take the three to the microscope table in the laboratory, and you are cured.
