This is not possible, the original (classic) World of Warcraft must be installed first as the Burning Crusade is an expansion (addon).
You can download the installers from the World of Warcraft website.

Vanilla refers to the original World of Warcraft, without any expansions. It does NOT refer to Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, Cataclysm, or any of the Warcraft RTS games (Warcraft, 2,3).
If you have an original World of Warcraft CD, you will also have the required serial key plus the key from The Burning Crusade. If you create your battle.net account, you can add these keys (and thus their accounts) to your battle.net account, which will feature a button to download the entire game. You can then download and install the game without issues.
Nope you will need the burning crusade expansion installed before it will allow you to install WotLK.
assuming you have the previous expansion (the burning crusade) you can play in eastern kingdoms, kalimdor and outland but not northrend
Without knowing what kind of netbook, the power, video card, operating system, and other technical specifications of the system you are talking about, then we have no idea if World of Warcraft will run on this particular system.
You cant play Wrath of the Lich King without the Burning Crusade. The only way to play blood elf or dranei is to buy Burning Crusade. You also wouldn't really be able to level your character from 60-70 without the leveling areas in the Burning Crusade.
Yes. You only need to patch once you install Wrath.
Warcraft 3 was recently patched to no longer require the CD to start. World of Warcraft as well as The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King have never required a CD to start. If earlier versions of Warcraft have not been patched to no longer require the CD, you can download a disc imaging program such as Deamon Tools Lite, create a virtual image of your CD, and "mount" the image to run the game, instead of using the CD.
No
basically Cataclysm is an expansion game... kind of like a map pack if you play call of duty or just some random games on a ps3 or xbox 360. that means that you need to have the original game in order to use the expansion. idk if you need the first 2 expansion games (burning crusade, and wrath of the lich king) but i'd recommend it
If you wish to continue using Wrath of the Lich King, then yes you have to buy the full package and upgrade your current account. If not, your account should simply be playable but without any WotLK features.
