You get woken up in minecraft if a monster can get within 2 spaces of where you are sleeping. For example, if you have a 1 block thick outer wall and place your bed right up against it, you will get woken up by a monster (only Zombies and skeletons though). If you place your bed in the middle of that room, away from the walls, you will sleep soundly. Same rules apply on all difficulties. (cept peaceful obviously)
