You have to use the TM to teach it Psychic.
Butterfree is better but if you train oddish it will evolve to gloom then use a sun stone or leaf stone to evolve it to vileplume/bellossom which are a little better than butterfree but butterfree can learn psychic type moves which can defeat vileplume and bellossom so choose butterfree if you want that but if you want an offensive and defensive Pokemon choose vileplume.
Pokemon XD: purify it and it will know the move. you can trade from that game.
Psychic, Stun spore, Reflect, Light screen.
It depends on who you're battling, but I'd say Butterfree, just because it has moves that can cause stat problems to your foes, such as SleepPowder, Stunspore, Poisenpowser, etc..
No, butterfree does not evolve. Butterfree is the last stage evolution of caterpie. Caterpie, Metapod and then Butterfree.
wow a Pokemon question ain't seen 1 of these in a while................while in my case from back in the day on Pokemon yellow version Beedrill was the best cause his health was higher and attack was a lot better then butterfree welll....from the Pokemon blue days..butterfree had more moves than beedrill..and so it was my fave..but now..both Pokemon have all these different new moves...so i guess it all comes down 2 a matter of personal favourite... Juno1234567236: I would use Beedrill but give him a choice scarf if it's in heart gold. Best moves are probably aerial ace, endeavor, bug bite, and whatever you want for the last slot. if it was r/b/y, then I would choose butterfree because it has more moves that are better. Advanced generation: Beedrill Original generation: Butterfree
Butterfree because butterfree has better stats.
Butterfree, Venonat, Yanma, Nincada
You can teach Roserade's many moves, yet it never learns Petal Dance. You can teach it Grass Knot anytime, even when it is in it's single stage as a Budew. You can teach Roserade any moves, but I don't have a clue what moves he/she learns when it levels up. x
Butterfree is a Bug-Flying type.
Butterfree learns Confusion as it's first move. Lv. 10. If you for some reason do not have the movie in a Butterfree of higher lv. simply either breed a new Caterpie or visit the move re-learner in his house on Island Two for him to teach it the move again (costs either 1 Big Mushroom or 2 TinyMushrooms).
