Well first off, talk to her every day. She's normally in Rune Archives (you know like the library) either in her room or behind her desk. If not, I always find her on the Mountain Road. (I know you can find her schedule somewhere online. Just look it up.) Her favorite item is a sandwich. Not peanut butter and jelly or any of those Sandwiches, but this is how to make it:

Bread, Cucumber, Tomato, Mayonnaise, Boiled egg, Carrot. If you don't have the book to make it you need to be at level 70 cooking, if you DO have it, you only need to be at 50. You can probably buy the cookbook from Selphy herself.

Another item she likes is rice balls. After Stella asks you to give Turner a bamboo shoot, his wife should show up. Her name is Rita, starting at 6pm the tavern place is open, right next to the inn, where she works and you can buy riceballs from her and they're not too expensive. Buy a bunch and give Selphy AT LEAST one a day, maybe two. Maybe more. And also AVOID giving her gems, she hates them. And if you give her a gift and she says "This is an odd gift" it doesn't mean she likes it. When you give her riceballs she'll say she loves riceballs, I haven't been able to get her a sandwich yet but I hear she LOVES it a LOT.

Also, read books. Go to your shelf in your house, read the books. Don't even actually read then, just flip through them real quickly and you've read them. Then go to Rune Archives and look through ALL the shelves and read all the books that you can. The more new books you read, you get love points. I got lots of love points just by reading books there. By re-reading books, I don't think it counts. I think you have to click on a shelf and check shelf 1 or shelf 2 or shelf 3 or shelf 4 and if something new comes up read it.
