Check your small user manual for replacing the battery. The gas tank has to be removed to do this.
In my experience you will need to remove the cross brace over the battery. You wil also need to remove the fuse block from the brace and pull it aside. There is a 13mm bolt holding the battery holddown bracket in place that needs removed. this requires a long extention to get past the battery. Once removed you can remove the battery cables and battery.
There is a cover that is over the battery on a Citroen C4 that will have to be removed to expose the battery. There are several screws that will need removed and then the cover lifts right off. Remove the battery connections and lift the battery out.
Remove motorcycle seat by putting key in seat lock and holding it in the unlock position, then lift it up and remove it. The battery cover is on top of the battery just behind the gas tank. Cover is removed by sliding it out. Loosen and remove the terminal connectors on both battery poles with a screwdriver. Finally remove the rubber band that secures the battery in place. The rubber band is easily removed by pulling it out of its brace. The battery can now be removed and a new one installed if necessary.
Either one can be removed but I recommend you remove them both, then remove the battery and store it in a dry location. Charge it every 3 months or keep a trickle charger on it constantly.

As I understand it, the windshield washer tank has to be removed. The battery is under it.
Be sure to consult a manual before attempting any kind of car repair, and be sure your car is fully off before you begin to remove the battery. Remove the rear seat cushion, as the battery is located underneat the passenger side of the rear seat. Disconnect the black negative battery cable by loosening it with a wrench. After the negative cable has been removed, disconnect the red positive cable in the same way. Disconnect the vent tube, and remove the battery.

The black clips will need to be removed they pry up in the middle to remove them, remove the cover over the battery and the cover along the windshield then you can remove the 2 ,10mm bolts that hold the battery bracket to remove the battery, let me know if you have more questions,
