To go on wi-fi you will need a router(wireless or wired)if it is wired you will need to buy a LAN Adapter you can get one from your local gameing store. Then for either router you will go to options on the Wii then you will go to Wii Settings then got to internet, click on Connection Settings. Chose a connection(1,2,or3) click on it, then chose what kind of router you have(wired or wireless)if its wired it will detect your router and it should be over by then.If your router is wireless then you will have to scan for the router(sometimes a crap load of routers will come up, so chose the one with the greatest connection) then you should be connected unless you have a password for your router. For the DS its like the same thing but you can only use wireless.
