Can Pokemon X and Y battle or trade with previous generations?
At the time of writing, there is no current way to trade or battle with previous generations in Pokemon X or Y. However, in December, Nintendo will be releasing a paid service called Pokemon Bank which will act as Pokemon X and Y's way of trading from previous generations (although this is only limited to Black, White, Black 2 and White 2). It does not appear that there will be any services that will allow you to battle with previous versions, however.

Then select WITHDRAW POKEMON. Then select the Pokemon in the box that it is in and select WITHDRAW
