Why cant people connect to my minecraft server i port forwarded My other sever the one that isn't bukkit can be connected to I am using the pail thing but my friends can connect when they are over?

if other people can only connect to your server when they are in your internet at your house it because you have probably port forwarded with your internal ip address. To fix this Google "what is my external ip address" there should be several websites telling you your external ip address. Once you have your external ip change your port forwarding so that it is using that external ip.

Make sure your server.properties is the same.

Make sure the server program is up to date

- Don't turn off your firewall, that's just stupid.

Tell them to download LogMeIn Hamachi then create a network let them join then you can play together :)
