The housing ring, depending on brand, will hold the gasket. Some lights are assembled with a housing ring and screws others have a clamp type ring. There are several types manufactured. Remember to always replace the gasket with a new one when replacing the bulb etc.

Your light fixture may be flickering due to a loose bulb, a faulty connection, or a problem with the fixture itself. It could also be caused by fluctuations in the electrical supply.
yes a pool light is typically a sealed unit. this is to prevent water from entering the light and coming in contact with the electrical components of the light. if water were to enter the light it could damage the light fixture and also trip the light breaker or gfci. in addition in some situations if the light were not installed correctly/electrically protected correctly (with breaker and gfci) could cause a dangerous situation to bathers. to change the light bulb in a pool light fixture the light fixture must be brought above the waters surface and the lense with lense gasket removed bulb changed then lense with lense gasket replaced and the light reinstalled in the light niche in the wall of the pool below the waters surface. you must also use the appropriate bulb for the light fixture. this is not as simple as just picking up a bulb from home depot and threading it in as you would do with an outdoor flood light. light repairs should only be performed by a trained pool professional as it could be dangerous if not done correctly.
This is better left to the professional who knows the ins and outs of swimming pool lighting , GFCI's and codes in your area. He will also know which best fits and is compatible with the current housing or nitch. He will also know how long of a cord to order with the new light fixture. Code may also require that there be update modifications done to the conduit and location of the GFCI box. Ken
One way to loosen a light bulb that is stuck in the fixture is to break the bulb. You can then use half of a potato to unscrew the bulb from the fixture. You can also make a loop with duct tape, adhere the middle of the loop to the light bulb. Use the two ends to twist the bulb out of the fixture.

Most older Chevy silverados use a rubber gasket around the thermostat itself... the upper housing also has a rubber gasket built into it. Did you move the gasket from the old one & put it on the new one? There is also a paper gasket you can use, but you need a lot of permaseal & it isn't as good. Most parts store will have the rubber gasket & it's about $1.00

It also protects the light bulb from water damage and prolongs its lifespan. Additionally, a totally enclosed fixture can enhance the overall safety and aesthetics of the bathroom.
To remove a glued on bathroom light fixture from a mirror, the best product to use is WD-40. Spray on the WD-40 and wait a few minutes while holding up the light fixture so it will not suddenly fall. Gently pull on the light fixture while using a putty knife to scrape the area underneath the lamp next to the mirror. Glue residue can also be cleaned up with the WD-40 after the fixture releases.
