How do you repair liner without draining for above ground pool?

Our liner was coming away from the edge in a couple of places. We bought a strip of material that was used to hold the liner in the track from the pool store. We cut the strip into 1 inch pieces. We worked the pool liner back into the track. (We had about a 18 inch section pulled away and a 6 inch section in another location.) This required 3 people and a lot of effort to get the liner back into the track. We then tapped the 1 inch strips into the track about 1 foot apart to hold the liner in place. This has held for over a year with no problems. Good Luck! Using a kettle to heat water and pouring it on the liner is a safe way to make it temporarily more plyable, the T-Bead to hold the liner in the track is also key. If i had a pool i would have a large peice to go around my whole liner.

You simply use a pool liner patch kit and repair the hole, even if underwater.

I recommend a Boxer Brand with #100 glue, that works the best. Most pool stores carry Boxer brand repair kit.

Once you locate the hole, make sure the liner is clean, cut a round patch, apply glue to the patch, book the patch like you would wall paper, go underwater and apply patch over hole, wait a few seconds for the glue to set up and make sure you have the patch firmly attached to the liner over the hole. If you have a small pc of the patch not sticking, like an edge, you can put a little glue on your finger swim down to the patch and wipe the glue on the area not sticking and it will allow you to re-glue the edge as necessary.

if the water is too cold and you can't get in the pool, you can try a Ziploc bag with sand in to place over the hole as a temporary stopgap. (make sure you get all the air out.) I have done this with one of my customers after a storm blew something in a pool after a storm and It held all winter. Let me know if you have need additional information. good luck.

depends how far down its hanging. if only a few inches try heating the liner with a heat gun or blow dryer and pulling the liner back up
