Contact springfield arms and ask them. They should be able to look it up and tell you.
Your gun was made between 1920 and 1948.
My first shotgun was a springfield Model 67 around 1973-74. I dont know about the "E" but mine was a 20 gu shotgun
Easy. It was made in 1929, hence the model number...
First you have to determine what kind of "Springfield" you have. It could be a US military arm from the Springfield Armory dating to sometime before the Civil War or a new sporting arm from Springfield, Inc., but most likely it is a shotgun made by J. Stevens Arms or the Stevens Division of Savage Arms.
The value of a Springfield 20 gauge pump shotgun would actually depend on a number of factors. Some of these factors would be the age and the condition of the shotgun.
I am seeking the age of my 410 double barrel shotgun. It came from my grandfather and has the following markings: Springfield Arms Co. Pat Apr 20, 1915 X57709 It has double triggers and is chambered for 2 1/2 shells. Thanks

The information available shows that they were manufactured between 1914 and 1945. A call to Springfield armory might help narrow it down.
I would contact Savage Arms (they own Springfield) and ask. Customer service at their website would be a good start.

The Springfield 67 was made by Savage Arms from the late 1960's through the 1980's. If your gun has no serial number it was made prior to 1968. We have parts for this firearm, and can do any type of repair if needed. repair@countrygunsmith.net According to Gun Trader's Guide, the Springfield name was discontinued in 1948.
