It was double-knit polyester hell. The economy was tanking under Carter, and the country was just starting to feel the aftershocks of Vietnam. Cars were huge machines and they were making new episodes of the Mickey Mouse Club. The color schemes that the '70's used were nothing short of heinous, and the fashion industry was being pumped full of stupid juice. Afros were huge. I don't mean huge like "really popular," I mean huge like in "REALLY BIG." Black, white, male, female...it didn't matter. And Saturday morning Cartoons were the best in 1978.
