The only date listed for the Stevens 94 in the Blue Book was 1929 The chart in the back of the Blue Book says 934,000 model 94's were made between 1926 and 1945. I don't know what was different about the A series or if the 94 was discontinued when the 94-A was introduced, but I'd wager it is some cosmetic difference that they could charge an extra dollar for and both were made during the same period.
