There are several manufactures of High Velocity pellet guns and rifles. Just to name a few: Air Force, ShinSung, Benjamin, Feinwerkbau, Daystate, Anschutz, Beeman, Alfa, Evanix, Crosman, Gamo/BSA, Hammerli, Sumatra, Air Armes and Falcon. All of these are PCP (PreCharged Pneumatic) air guns and rifles that require a special pump, Compressor or Scuba tank to charge them to 3,000 PSI. The Sam Yang model fires a 50 caliber pellet that will bring down a deer. PCP air guns /rifles are beyond the C02 and springer power plants that most air guns use. But these guns /rifles will cost you more than the normal air rifle.
They come in .177, .20, .22, .25, 9mm, 45 .cal and 50caliber barrels. These are the Air rifles used by professionals and Olympic shooters in the Olympics.
Any of the PCP class of pellet guns or rifles. These are high pressure pellet guns that are capable of shooting a 50cal pellet.
Yes, but it depends on what you want to use the gun for. If you want a high velocity pellet, then go with the .177 caliber. It is lighter, therefore it will travel faster. But if it breaks the sound barrier your accuracy is lost. If you want an air gun for hunting, then buy a .22 caliber. They are much larger and heavier resulting in more accuracy and more knock-down power on impact. Those are the most common pellet diameters.
No such thing. ANY firearm, including high powered pellet guns CAN produce a fatal injury.
What I think you mean is high or low pressure, like for a HPA tank? All spyders, bt's and tippmanns run on high pressure air which either means you should buy a 4500 psi tank. All guns should be chronographed for 295-300 fps, so all guns have the same velocity.
You question fall short of the air gun potential. Let me explain. There are BB guns and there are pellet guns. BB guns can not reach the power and speed of the pellet guns. The highest BB guns shoot around 541 FPS (Feet per second) The IZH Drozd is rated at this FPS. Pellet guns are capable of reaching much higher speeds and power. Here's an example. The Evanix hunting Master AR6 is capable of firing a .22 caliber pellet at 1000 FPS. The Evanix rainstorm fires a .177 pellet at 1300 FPS. The Airforce Condor tops out at 1450 FPS. There are several air guns and rifles that are capable of reaching this speed. Everyone of these are in the PCP class of airguns & rifles (PreCharged Pneumatics) that require that they be pumped up to 3000 PSI to be used. So if you are looking for a powerful BB gun look at all the IZH models they hold a high record of power and speed.
Standard weight is .2g. Cheap guns often work best with .12g, while people tend to use heavier bb's such as .23g with high end guns for accuracy. Snipers will sometimes use up to .4g bb's, but usually stick to between .25g and .3g bb's. Heavier bb's result in greater accuracy, but cause a decrease in muzzle velocity.
The sherman tank was constantly upgraded throughout it's service history. With several variants in service simultaneously. During WW2 Originally intended for infantry support it used a medium (relative to it's time) velocity 75mm. A low velocity 105mm howitzer. A high velocity 76mm anti tank gun. A high pressure flamethrower. A high velocity 17 pounder anti tank gun. After WW2 Israel upgraded shermans with high velocity 75mm and high velocity 105mm guns.
$100-$500, depending on condition. These guns should NOT be fired with modern high velocity ammo.
Yes there are several models capable of harm. In fact most all can harm you but several high end models are used for hunting game
Yes. Given the right situation. Also there are several high powered pellet guns that are capable of killing a person. Most of these are in the PCP (PreCharged Pneumatic) Class of air guns / rifles. They can fire up to a 50 Caliber slug.
If you have a very powerful pellet gun and use very light pellets, getting a speed of over ~1150 feet per second is possible and will break the sound barrier. If you use WD-40 on the gun, it is recommended to wipe it off and then use gun oil. If you leave WD-40 inside the gun it could make the bullet faster, but it's more dangerous and wears down the parts inside.
All types of guns do not contain rifling but they do shoot little mini david's at high speed velocity....... unfortunately they are deadly weapons to the brain and can dig their way into the stomach and eat you from the inside out.
