Basically. Austrio-Hungary wanted to invade Serbia, so Austrio-Hungary sided with Germany. Serbia called upon Russia, who called upon England. the Ottoman Empire sided with Germany, and when Germany invaded France, France sided with England. Romainia kind of went with Russia and Bulgaria went with Germany. Italy sided with England to invade Bulgaria. Add all of that together, plus the fact that the African territories of the European Nations declared war on each other, and Japan wanted territory, so it sided with England. Japan invaded China, so China sided with Germany. The Arabian nations wanted territory from the Ottoman Empire, so it sided with England. Eventually the United States entered the war on the side of England. Add all of that together, and that is a World War.
So as a basic recall, England, France, Italy, Serbia, Russia, The Arabs, Japan, the Allies' African Territories, Romainia, and the United States were on the Allies, and Germany, Austrio-Hungary, The Ottoman Empire, China, the Axis Power's African Territories, and Bulgaria sided with the Axis Powers.

Her most important political decision was her alliance with Rome. first under Caesar, which established her on the throne with Rome's backing, and her second alliance with Marc Antony, against Octavian. The second alliance ended disastrously, both for Cleopatra and her dynasty.
Answer 1On the contrary, Russia invaded East Prussia in the beginning of WW1.Answer 2The declaration of war by Germany against Russia (not the the invasion of Russia which came later) was considered the beginning of World War I by the Treaty of Versailles, but is rejected by most historians as being the proximate cause of World War I. The reasons Versailles treats it as such is for two important reasons: 1) This was the first time the one of the massive alliances was triggered in the war since the Russia alliance with Serbia was not considered a massive alliance when compared with the Triple Alliance or Triple Entente. 2) It allowed the Allies to force Germany to make burdensome reparation payments.Historians almost universally acknowledge the assassination of Austro-Hungarian Archduke Franz Ferdinand by Gavrilo Princip to be the proximate cause.
