I'd like to start off saying those are the reasons we entered the Vietnam War not reasons against it.
Some Americans felt we had no right to be there. In which case the only real reason we were there was to stop the spread of communism because the presidents during that time believed in what was known as the domino theory. Which meant if one country fell to communism eventually all surrounding countries would. Later it was known that we had no right to have so many troops in Vietnam since there was no declaration of war. Causing the government to win the people's approval by making a new law that you can only have troops in a country for 60 days before pulling them out or declaring war.
One of the main reasons for the UK's none involvement in the Vietnam War was their role in the Indonesia-Malaysia War which took place at the same time. Britain fought a war against Communist forces similar to that of the US against the Viet Mihn (except unlike the US, Britain won).
Hot battle of the cold war.
508 - 478 Army - 14 RAAF - 9 NAVY - 7 civillians - 6 servicemen were also declared missing in action. It is believed that they were killed but it has never been confirmed.
because of the vietnam war and the korean war Binns Rocks
A World War (like World War I and World War II) has a lot of the world participating (in a more friendly word) in it. A Civil War (like the Vietnamese Civil War/Vietnam War or the USA Civil war) is when a large body fights against each other in a war. It's not like when your class can't decide whether to have pepperoni or cheese for your pizza party.
Richard Nixon was against the Vietnam War!
Vietnam Veterans Against the War was created in 1967.
because it was north Vietnam against south Vietnam
They didn't want to be drafted by Australia's National Service Act.
Against Communist North Vietnam's take over of the Republic of South Vietnam.
American Writers Against the Vietnam War was created in 1965.
Part of the cold war.
North Vietnam started the war against South Vietnam; the US went to the aid of the South.
Many who didn't have to fight the war, were for it. Many who had to fight the war, were against it.
One of the main reasons was to separate the Vietnam War from the French War or French Vietnam War (which is often referred to as the French Indochina War; and lately, the 1st Indochina War). To makes things simple: The French Indochina War and the US (American) Vietnam War, might be the easiest way to remember it.
to fight communism
Because they are against war.
