Ashfur distrusts Brambleclaw because after Brambleclaw and Squirrleflight fought Squirrleflight beagan to like ashfur. then after the badger attack Squirrleflight and Brambleclaw grew close again. Leafpool had a vision of two pairs of paw prints on the lake growing into to one path and at the end of the path was Brambleclaw and Squirrleflight. So Squirrleflight told Ashfur that she and Brambleclaw were meant to be mates from StarClan and he still didnt like the idea

I think Lionblaze, but Firestar hasn't died yet so it isn't certain who Brambleclaw's deputy will be. It isn't even known if Brambleclaw will be a leader. Um, did Graystripe, like, die or something? Let's not forget him! He is the rightful deputy because he was the deputy before Brambleclaw. Unless I forgot something and he did die. no he's still alive. but it's just Brambleclaw is younger
How will Brambleclaw die?
No one knows for sure because It has not been revealed when or how Brambleclaw will die, but there is a rumor that he will not succeed Firestar as leader. This could meant that he could die, retire early, or anything. The Erins will definetly cook up a great plot for him in the future!
