Jonas found the strength to go on in "The Giver" through his strong sense of empathy, his determination to create positive change in his community, and his courage to challenge the status quo despite the risks involved. His deep connection with the memories and emotions provided by the Giver also fueled his resilience and belief in a better future.
The Giver transmits memories of wisdom, pain, joy, and adventure to help guide and prepare Jonas for his journey. These memories provide Jonas with knowledge and empathy to navigate the challenges he will face.
Jonas went to the Giver's living quarters, in the Annex at the House of the Old.
The Giver's job is to transmit memories to Jonas.
Jonas flees the community after receiving memories from the Giver. He ventures into Elsewhere, leaving the community behind to seek a better life.
Jonas gives people memories by running away so they can all go back to the community- for memories are forever. once he got memories, he has the ability to give them away to. he just followed what the giver did and gave some memories to Gabe.
Rosemary is The Giver's daughter who wanted to be released, or sent to "Elsewhere. Then that's where all the pieces come together when it said that the previous Receiver wanted to die so she injected herself and was sent to Elsewhere which you will find out is really heaven. "The Giver" is a dystopian novel by Lois Lowry that follows a young boy named Jonas who learns about the secrets of his community, where emotions and memories are suppressed. Through his training with the Giver, Jonas begins to question the society's rules and explore the depths of human experience.
In the book "The Giver" by Lois Lowry, the annex room is located in the House of Old, where Jonas goes to receive memories from The Giver. The annex room is isolated and private, allowing Jonas and The Giver to have their meetings undisturbed.
The plan is that Jonas leaves with his "Memories." I think they will slip away the further away he flees and closer to Elsewhere and the "Memories" will go back to the Community and everyone Receives them. I think Jonas and The Giver think that everyone in their Community will feel the pain they had to feel when the painful Memories were transfered. This will most likely kick reality into gear in the Community. Hope this helped! :)
In the book, it explains that the Giver cannot escape with Jonas because he must help the community with their soon to be acquired new memories. Also, it implies that after the Giver helps the community he will apply for release and be with his daughter, Rosemary.
Gabriel and Jonas die of the freezing cold and go to heaven
That they go elsewhere, he never mentions that the child gets murdered.
