Yes
The word 'rooster' is mainly US usage. In the UK, Australia and other English speaking countries we (I'm in UK) firmly stick to the more traditional words 'Cock' (a male chicken over a year old) and 'Cockerel' (a male chicken under a year old). I think I'm right in saying the word rooster became popular in the US because it avoided the obvious double entendre of the word cock, which presumably upset very religious, puritanical American folk. As you are no doubt aware, Brits and Aussies are (on average) less easily offended about such matters, indeed most of our comedy is based on it.
They are called roosters.
NO, they are only equipped to fertilize them.
I think a rooster can only be a boy but im not 100% sure
Both are chickens. They both have feathers.
They are both! Most of the chickens in the super markets are raised especially for meat use and grow so fast (heavy) that they are useless for breeding or pets. They are generally crosses between cornish and rock breeds. The roosters may reach market weight a few weeks sooner then the hens but they will soon follow.
They are called roosters.
No, chickens and roosters are not the same. Chickens refer to both male and female birds, while roosters specifically refer to male chickens.
Chickens are not all female. There are both male and female chickens. Male chickens are called roosters, while female chickens are called hens.
no, they mate with roosters,(male chicken)
No, not all chickens are female. Chickens can be male or female, with females being called hens and males being called roosters.
Yes, chickens have both male and female genders. Male chickens are called roosters, while female chickens are called hens.
Chickens can be both male and female. Male chickens are called roosters, while female chickens are called hens.
I'm pretty sure all male chickens (AKA Roosters or cockerels) have tail feathers. Actually, roosters are the pretty chickens with really really long tail feathers. If a male chicken is lacking tail feathers, they were probably pulled out by an outside source.
A chicken. Roosters= male chickens Hen= female chickens
Chickens can be both male and female. Male chickens are called roosters, while female chickens are called hens.
Male chickens can be aggressive at times.
Male chickens, also known as roosters, are not typically eaten because they are tougher and less meaty than female chickens, also known as hens. Roosters are usually raised for breeding purposes or as pets, rather than for meat consumption.
