Pigs are very popular however do you mean eating them or keeping them as pets/ farm animals? Pot belly pigs are very every intelligent they can be trained as well as dogs and are just as friendly. They can come very large or quite small. petfinder.com has many great pot bellies to adopt with references however many of these animals have been abused and are only fit for farms. Eating pig is very nutritious and delicious. Eating pig is more popular then having them for pets, but either way you go pigs are very popular in America
Yes, people do have pet pigs they're are called pygmy pigs. they are very small and very rare pigs. i waqs even thinking about asking my mum for a pygmy pig insted of a dog, because you think pig-not very playful, very dirty and eats loads! but no they're the complete oppersite, they are so cute so there you are. I agree with the first answer, but any breed of pig can be a pet. Mainly Kune Kune. But I'm vegetarian and have heaps of pet animals. My pig is a Landrace I think, I'm in a mood with him atm. He hurt my feelings really bad. I was looking for one of my pet chickens called Apricot. Then I looked in his house, and, and, I saw some feathers, so I though "oh, she must be in here then!" Then I saw a leg, I froze and started crying (which means alot cause I basically never cry.) Then when I opened my eyes and looked, I realized that he was eating a chicken carcase. There was blood everywhere. I can't believe he could do that. We let him in the chicken paddock all the time, I'm not too keen on letting him play with my dog anymore. He really upset me today. But I forgave him and gave him a fuss. The worst thing is that we saved 8 chickens from the batteryhouse and now we only have 3 + Rocky the Rooster. Two died because of the bad conditions they were kept in at the battery. Two died from illness. And now Apricot =[ R-I-P.. Skinny, Boney, Peach, Sunny and Apricot. That has basically nothing to do with the question though, lol. Pigs are great pets, they're not lazy or dirty (as said in the first answer) they run really fast, love humans, poo in a pile away from their food/water/bed. Mine doesn't roll in mud or anything, so we suncream him, he gets bad sunburn. He likes to dig (the biggest problem with pigs) so we keep him in his house when we're not supervising him. You can get nose rings for them, but I wouldn't want my pig in pain.
I think pigs are way better pets than dogs unless you hate smelly things then a dog would be better or maybe if you hate smelly things you shouldn't get a pet at all!!!!!

Well, of course it has alot to do with personal opinion, but I prefer guinea pigs over gerbils, especially as pets to smaller children because guinea pigs are personable and friendly and need attention, and they are also large enough to cuddle, whereas gerbils are smaller and harder for kids to hug, and also not as friendly - they don't need attention as much and in my opinion aren't the best pets if you're looking for a pet that can also be your friend. I had guinea pigs for 5 1/2 years and enjoyed every minute of it! Guinea Pigs also live longer than gerbils.
I dont know they are both great pets i dont own any but i have seen one of my friends guinea pigs there are playful and cuddly and my cousins rabbits they are playful and cuddly to
Yes they are! Pigs learn to walk on leashes more quickly than dogs.
They are actually smarter than dogs and many primates.

Personally, yes. I have one, and they're really sweet and cuddly.
Loyalty. The more I know about people, the better I like dogs.
Pigs are actually quite intelligent. Pigs can learn tricks more quickly than dogs do. Pigs are also very clean. The reason you see pigs in mud puddles is that they sunburn easily, and lie in the water to cool off. They would rather lie in clean water than in mud.
Yes some people see boxers as aggressive dogs but they are actually very playful pets and the doberman are not good dogs for homes with children or other pets especially small pets.
This is a matter of opinion. If you like pets (cats, dogs, horses and such) then pets is a good investment. If not, then you could skip Pets and never miss anything that you wanted to do.

Yes. In some countries, dogs are also viewed as a food source. While it does sound sickening to many people who grow up in environments where dogs are viewed pets (ex. USA and Japan), it isn't really different from eating pigs. After all, pigs have been proven to be more intelligent than dogs, yet we frequently mistreat them and eat them.

None.Example: The dogs are better than cats.
Yeah, they are better than hamsters due to the fact that they live longer, aer easier to watch out for, and are generally stronger than other small pets. However, I believe that they would bite harder than normal rodents, but this is unlikely if the boy does not mistreat the pet
