Yes , it is healthy for you to provide your Guinea Pigs with salt.
Too much salt isn't good. I would try unsalted crackers.
No. Don't feed guinea pigs any kind of salt.
Hello, Guinea pigs are shy at first when they meet humans. Once you spend lots of time with Her, she will be loving towards you. Guinea pigs attach to their owners very easily. A guinea pig that feels safe with the owner may even sleep on their lap. My guinea pig licks my chin and cheeks. When i cry she licks my tears. Guinea pigs are as good of a pet as dogs or cats except that you don't have to take them for a walk. Annalee
Yes, guinea pigs should have a saltblock.
My guinea pig licks me, too. I think that it could be the salt in our skin. Guinea pigs need salt, and you can buy salt licks for them at pet stores. They love them! Our guinea pigs prefer the non flavored salt licks. I think licking could also be a sign of affection. My guinea pig, Smorez (he's magical, by the way) will lick me as a sign of affection towards me. They do that to show that they love you. (:
salt wheels give guinea pigs some of the minerals they need but cant get yeah it is suitable for them but most of the time they don't eat it and when you clean out their cage you could axidently through it away with the other poo

We have has guinea pigs for years and we give them salt wheels, all animals need some salt and they only eat vegetable and pellets which aren't high in salt content. So yes, guinea pigs can have salt wheels.

Guinea pigs can swim but only in shallow water, NEVER let them out of your sight and don't put them in with salt or chlorinated water

My piggy went through the same thing, he needs a salt lick, they sell them at every pet store. We have salt on our hands and body from sweating and guinea pigs thinks it tastes good, they love salt and your guinea pig will be very happy once he receives his salt lick!Guinea pigs don't need salt licks. It could be that your pet is being affectionate (that's what I like to think when mine does that!).It's true, they don't need salt licks. Mine has one and he likes it, but he still licks our fingers. It could just be him being affectionate, or liking the taste of salt on your fingers, or it could mean he needs putting back to go to the toilet or something. If you're holding him while you're stood up, it might mean he wants to get down, as guinea pigs don't like being held high.
Yes, they eat so much they need a salt block to lick daily.
Salt licks are a block made of salt usually used for horses and livestock.
