Yes It depends on the age and if the Vet can set the bone. Puppies are resilient and bones heal well and quickly. A Vet does need to set the bones and it will take about 4 weeks of carrying the dog out to do her/his business.
An older dog may have more trouble but could heal with plenty of rest.
