You see, it all depends. Farming is usually a demanding career track that can have it's ups and downs. Think of how much money you'll need to take care of the sheep. Feed them, groom them, get them checked up, ect. You also have to pay for materials and tools, you'll have to have enough space for them, which they usually demand about 15ft2 of space inside each as well as 200ft2 outside. You will need alot of money to take this seriously. You should start it up as a hobby farm, a.k.a., a small farm, and when you've raised enough, or you think your ready and you can afford it, then knock yourself out. For the road, heres some fun facts:

Fundamental Facts

Lifespan: 10-12 years, may live as long as 30 years

Productive life of a dairy or fiber goat: 7 years

Space required per goat: 15ft2 indoor and 200ft2 outdoors

Breeding age: females - 8 to 10 months

Gestation period: 150 days

Number of kids per gestation: 1 - 2

Behavior Bonuses

How does traditional agriculture compare with commercial farming?

Traditional Agriculture is different than commercial farming because commercial farming is done to make a large profit and is usually not used by the people growing the plants. Commercial farming is usually done by a crew of people who work for an hourly pay, where as Agricultural farming is usually done by one person and their family and is done for themselves. They also use traditional agriculture to make a small profit but nothing large as they usually have to sell it themselves. Therefore traditional agriculture is not as large as commercial farming.
