Adult/ Kid shampoos and disinfectants aren't safe for guineapigs. When I bathe my piggy, I either use baby shampoo or puppy/dog shampoo. Warm water is okay to use. However, it isn't good to give them frequent baths; only do it when necessary. :)

Do guinea pigs like to be bathed and how often?

Guinea pigs generally, like any other pet, should be bathed to keep clean and germ free. using a special small animal shampoo and warm water in a tub (preferably deep because they like to jump out) you can give them a quick bath. try not to get soap and/or water in their ears, eyes or mouth. on colder days after their bath guinea pigs should not be left wet; using a brush and blow dryer you should gently dry their fur. Bath your guine pig/s at least once per month.

How do you warm water for a dog bath?

Well if you have a bath tub or shower you can get warm water from there. (If you have a sink you could probaly get warm water from there too.) PS if you don't get warm water at your house my best idea would to leave it in the sun although it is not very warm outside yet. Also this could be really stupid but you could heat a little water up on the stove but make sure it is at least cold enough to put your hand in it or else it will burn the dog) hope this helps

Is it good to bath a dog with cold water?

How do you get poo off your guinea pig that is stuck to its hair?

with minature brushes you can get from pet shops (i got mine from pets at home - they cost about a fiver for 3 different brushes) just brush down there body and there nose and sides and if your guinea pig is good u can do under its tummy. Dont forget to also clip its nails otherwise they will grow to long and curl under, i have trouble cliping one of my guinea pigs nails because she is intent on chewing everything! hope this helps ellen.

How do you give a guinea pig a bath?

1. wet coat with warm water, pour Guinea pig shampoo along pet's back2. work Guinea pig shampoo into coat, avoid getting shampoo in pet's eyes and ears3. Thoroughly rinse coat4. shampoo again5. Thoroughly rinse coat until water runs clear with no sudsWell, you can use a sink or a bathtub. Treat it like a baby, like fill it with nice warm water and fill it till its half of your guinea pig. You don't want it to swim and get tired and drown. When using shampoo, use a soft baby shampoo. Keep soap out of the eyes of the guinea pig. And perhaps try and avoid the ears, eyes and nose. There really is no need for a conditioner, if you find a need. Use a baby conditioner as well. And when done, use a towl. Rap them up nicely and softly rub all around until it is decently dry. If you want use a hair dryer.. Use the softest power on it. And after that you should be doneTHERE ARE TWO METHODS: #1. fill a bin (I like to use my bathroom sink) with lukewarm water. Place the guinea pig in the bin and wet their hair. Apply guinea pig shampoo (available in pet stores) and rinse. You may want to replace the water. Then, shampoo a second time. Towel dry (dont sufficate it though.) #2. place the guinea pig in a bin and pour lukewarm water over them (from a pitcher). Shampoo as in #1. Then, place the guinea pig in a box with a hot water bottle (covered with a towel) to dry.I wash mine in the bathtub. I make sure the water is not too warm or too hot and fill the tub about 4 inches high. You don't want to get their face wet, or let them go under the running water. For soap, I went to the vet to get some normal pet soap.well use a sink for the water guinea pig shampoo or baby shampoo(Johnson ) lufe warm water up to his.her bellyYou will need A dirty guinea pigA sink or bathtubTwo or three towelsGuinea pig or baby shampoo(If it's cold outside or especially cold inside) A hairdryerfirst of all put the guinea pig in the sink or bathtub with a little amount of water just above their feet, then rinse the guinea pig in water, if the guinea pig freaks out a little bit then just get some water in your hands and pour it on the guinea pig but BE CAREFUL ! you don't want the water to get any where near its face or ears !!then when you have rinsed it you will need the guinea pig shampoo cleaning stuff, you can buy this from a pet shop, then rub it, remember not near the face or ears please !!! then carefully rinse off the guinea pig in the water again, PLEASE make sure its all off as it can irritate your guinea pig! then use a brush to stroke your guinea pig. then dry him/her with a towel only if it freaks out then get A treat to reward your guinea pig, even if it diddent enjoy it :) I HOPE THIS HELPEDyou should give guinea pigs baths because they can get very smelly and stink your room outyou give them baths by runnig about 1 inch ofwater in a bath tub and hold the guinea pig in your hand above the water. use a soft sop and use your hand and scrub their body, away from the face. dry them off carfully

ummm well the guinea pig shouldn't but this may mean that the pig is cold. my advice to you is to make sure you have a warm but not hot towel or blanket to put your pet in after she is bathed. Do you have to give budgies a bath?

Yes. You shouldn't force them into water... spray the with warm water with a spray bottle or offer a warm bath in a bowl or bird bath from pet store. (Do NOT buy from Petsmart or Petco. They are very cruel.)

How do you bath your guinea pig?

Bath them in a deep sink or other large container. Fill the sink or container with about 10cm of warm water. Cover the guinea pig with warm water so that all of his fur is wet except for his face and ears. Rub guinea pig shampoo into his fur but not anywhere near his face. Hold him up to clean his tummy. Make sure to rince ALL the shampoo and bubbles out of his fur before getting him out of the sink of container. Then make sure that he is mostly dry before putting him back in his cage. If he is still quite wet then he could get cold.

Why does the temperature in the ice bath remain constant for several minutes after placing the beaker in the warm water bath?

The reason that the temperature in an ice bath remains constant for several minutes after placing a beaker in a warm water bath, is that it takes water longer to heat. The cold water will not heat up right away because the energy hasn't transferred.
