Depends. If they were raised together, they should be fine. If they are different types of hamsters or they came from two different groups, then you should expect a bit of fighting. In my case, the two different hamsters I had fought brutally so be careful.
To start off, Male and Female hamsters really don't like each other. Like other Betta fish. They will fight and sometime eat each other! Hamsters are animals that need their own space, As I have my own hamster, who needs her own space. Other hamsters just don't go along well with other animals of their kinds. A lot of animals act like this. Its common Behavior, so don't think its very unusual or panic because they are fighting and weren't fighting at the pet store. Separate them immeditally! Its always better safe than sorry since they might hurt each other.
They also need their own Food and Water. They are independent animals. These animals need their own space!!!
Do Whats right-
SEPARATE THEM!!!!!! they might kill each other otherwise!!!
Yes, they will fight, especially teddy bear hamsters.
Its fine to but make sure if you have to males in a cage not to put a female in with them because then they will fight! Maybe to death
Only Syrian hamsters will definitely fight and should be kept one to a cage other species are quite sociable and can be put together, but have been known to fight.
yes but they will most probialy breed
No, they tend to fight.
Not a good idea. It's best to put the rat in a separate cage. Rats and hamsters fight like you would never believe, trust me.....
I have 2 male hamsters in the same cage, they sometimes fight over food. It is alright but they will have small fights and there will be a dominant one and a shy one. The shy one always needs encouragement.
Girl hamsters are territorial and also protective of their young so they will fight other hamsters. Most hamsters (excluding dwarves) prefer to live alone and may fight if caged with another hamster.
No it's not. Syrian hamsters are very territorial and need to live alone. If they are kept in a cage together they will fight. As they are relatives they can live together in the same cage for up to 5 weeks. At this age the puppies can get pregnant so must live separately to avoid this. At 5 weeks old they must be split. If you want to keep more than one hamster its best to keep another breed as Syrian hamsters are the only breed that must live alone.
They fight for territory
I have two male hamsters they have been in the same cage alone numerous times, and they do not fight ever.
my hamsters would eat each other so i don't recommend it
They will do both. Both. They will first mate, and then the female will kill the male.
when hamsters have a fight and they are living in the same cage you MUST put them in separate cages to prevent serious injury. Hope you hamsters r ok
no if they are in the same cage they would fight. syrian and sable hamsters are not the same
Well, hamsters really should not be put in a cage with other hamsters as they fight with each other
the male hamster will choose one female hamster and the left one will die
Yes they will. Hamsters and gerbils are solitary creatures and they wil fight if they feel that someone else is in their territory.
No, they tend to fight.
They will reproduce rapidly if the female is in season, otherwise they'll fight and may end up killing eachother. Hamsters can make armies of babies very quickly.
yes,but make sure to ask one of the people working there if they if the hamsters had a fight or don't get along! hope I helped ^_^!!
