Separate the two dogs imediantly, unless you want 8 puppies in your house. :D Get at least one plastic carrier (preferrably with a wire door) or metal crate if you don`t already have one, and make sure one of them is in it at all times. Switch who crated with who is loose in the house frequently so they can drink and potty. A basement might be a good place, or garage if it`s cool and you have either one. DO NOT let your girl outside without close human supervision. DO NOT tie her outside or turn her loose to potty. ALSO use a snap to clip the crate closed to prevent escape. Boys can be persistant and will unlatch the simple latch on some crates. You can buy panties for your girl to wear while she`s dripping, but they don`t make her safe around boys. The whole heat cycle will last about 3-4 weeks, so talk to your vet about when she should be safe back with the boy. Lastly consider getting her spayed and him neutered. If you can`t afford your vet to do it, try a local humane society for help, many have low cost or discounted spay neuter clinics. Good Luck!
