Agriculture allowed people to no longer have to be nomadic- meaning they could live in one place and build more permanent homes rather than constantly traveling and moving. This is because they didn't have to move about hunting and gathering. They could grow food in one place and begin building society there. This also produced an abundance of food, allowing the human population to increase.
