Sheep came to the US from Saudi Arabia or close to that area originally. However when the Europeans started to spread out they overused the Natural Resources in Saudi Arabia which was originally green and full of life. As the land started to respond to the lack of care it turned to desert so the animals spread out along the same latitude lines. Eventually Europeans brought these and other farm animals who had the same story to America once they discovered North America.
