For the first day you get your guinea pig you should leave him alone for 1 - 3 days.
When those 3 days are up you start talking gently to him so he can get use to you even if it includes talking to your self ( and still you do not pick up your piggy). When all of these days are up then the time is right to start picking up him or her,but you still have to do everything since the first day.Every time you pick him up make sure that you give him a couple of treats.
And last of all make sure he see's you refilling his water or food so he realizes that you are a caregiver.
pick it up or if its a high fence climb over the fence
I have a guinea pig that's very skittish and i can pick him up without scaring him by making sure he sees my hand before i touch him. I pet his back and then once you can pet him without him moving just stick you hand under his stomach and pick him up.
The anser to your question is no, Guinea pigs dont have tails so it is impossible to pick them up by them. The origin of this question comes from a older movie.
Maybe it is just sensitive there or maybe it has been injured or maybe it is pregnant. You would have to find more evidence to be sure of any of the above
Guinea pigs live 3-8 years, but an average life span for healthy guinea pigs is about 5-6 years. A lucky guinea pig can sometimes live up to 10 years! So, a 5 year old guinea pig is getting up there in years, but if properly cared for, can live for a long awhile yet.
Your weird
the guinea pig will not run away when it sees you, it will also seem excited to be around you.
Most likely because she is pregenant but it could be that she is ill
pick it up
yes, you can and it should be fine.
its normal
Either leave it, it should come off in the sawdust or wood shavings, whatever is in your guinea-pig's cage, or, you can pick up the guinea-pig and flick it or pick it off.
Pick it up and put it on it's feet?
pick it up or if its a high fence climb over the fence
Then, you have to hand tame your guinea pig. You have to take him out of his cage to clean it, and he has to get treated for mite or he will die. So you have to just take him out and play with him all the time.
