You should just know that it is in a better place. You could pray and tell God how you feel.

ANSWER:

Think of good times or funny things that happened, If you have pictures, look at them. Same with vieos. Don't try to forget, it seems to make it hurt more that way.

Just give it time, It'll get better. Like others said above ^^, remember that the pet is not is pain anymore if it was before.Think of good times and you'll soon find that it doesn't hurt much as much anymore. :)

Pesonally, after a couple of days of mourning I drown myself in TV and internet and try to forget it. I really don't think this is healthy and don't suggest it, its really best to just let it out.

To get over your pet's death, the simplest thing you can do is don't get a pet. But that makes life too easy, and if you live alone, even lonelier. So if you don't think you can get over your pet's death don't get one. Other than that I think time will have to heal your wound. Maybe getting another pet might help but it's different in all cases. Me on one hand, I have an 8 year old golden retriever and she is so great! But she is getting old and I know she is getting close, I don't know how long it's going to take me to get over it with out the dog I'ver had since I was 2, and another animal might just remind me of her. So I don't really know but I hope all you got out of that bad answer was good!
