Your acutally not going to know. Just move slow when going to pick them up and not startle them or back them into a corner or they will bite. Usually when they bite its more of a warning rather than to draw blood.
If your wondering how to choose one from a store, ask to hold it first. It may bite but eventually it will get used to you and start to like you.
