∙ 14y agoIf a pumpkin seed fell on the ground and was watered, it would germinate and begin to sprout. Over time, it would grow into a pumpkin plant, produce vines and leaves, and eventually develop pumpkins.
It's not clear why anyone would be that stupid, but PROBABLY nothing would happen as a result. Still, why risk it?
we would all die!
Actually, Pumpkin is not only good for your dog, it's recommended by many Vets. Replace 1/3 of your dog's regular food with canned pumpkin for a low calorie and nutritious meal. You can also freeze canned pumpkin cubes in the freezer, and give them as a tasty treat on hot days. One thing to keep in mind -- increasing roughage in your dog's diet will also increase poop. The first day or two, you might find that the feces are softer than usual, or even runny. That will normalize after a few days. Don't feed pumpkin or other vegetables before bedtime or you'll be going out at 4:30 in the morning. Pumpkin is quickly gaining popularity as a great way to keep your dog's weight down. Try mixing in a tablespoon or two with their regular dog food. You can give them the canned kind, which is already cooked, or you can cook fresh pumpkin yourself.
