I have a teddy bear hamster and he is such a sweetie!!! I personally would say teddy bears are very nice and could easily be the nicest ones!!! I had a few dwarf hamster, and even though sometimes they can be a little snippy, they are usually pretty nice.
Hamsters can't eat anything salted, candied, or has something to do with treats! They will get very sick. Don't feed hamsters breadsticks. Oh and watch out- if you feed your hamster fruit, avoid citrus fruits. Good Luck!
i have two female dwarf hamster's together they get on just fine. NEVER put two males together as they will fight, and give each other horrible injuries as being a vet i have witnessed. You can put a female & male together but they may breed and make baby hamsters or dwarf hamsters. always KEEP SYRAIN HAMSTERS ALONE with NO other hamster in there cage only keep drawf hamster's in pairs or groups.
If you will not be home alot to bond with your hamster and interact with them, it is better to buy two. They will keep each other company. Otherwise, one hamster will bond with you better if you only have one. I found this to be true when I bought my hamster. She was left alone for awhile before I purchased her and after alot of interaction, she has become very friendly and sociable with people. If there are more than one hamster in a cage, they will bond with each other and not be as tolerable of you handling them.
If your hamster has a large cut, it's best to take them to a qualified veterinarian for treatment. The vet can clean the wound, assess if any stitches are needed, and prescribe antibiotics to prevent infection. Keep the hamster's enclosure clean and watch for any signs of inflammation or infection.
put it in a cage and watch it die because they only last 2 days and they are stinky

A baby dwarf hamster can be as small as your fist or smaller.since their so small you have to watch them so carefully because they van hide in very small places
I suggest something from a hamster to a dog... It depends on the kid and what pet you would want in your house. I think a hamster because they are a good size for kids (You may want to watch your kids when they hold it... they jump) but not a dwarf hamster.. Teddy bear hamsters are great pets. Guinea pigs and rabbits are also great if you want something smaller than a dog
because it might be very sick go to a local vet.

They will live happily together.Yes, in fact, I highly recommend you buy a second one. They will not fight like Syrian hamsters who are solitary. Dwarf hamsters happily coexist with each other and not only will it make it funner for the dwarf hamsters themselves but it will be fun for you too as you watch them get each other to do funny things you wouldn't see them do if they were alone. If you bought a Chinese dwarf hamster his companion must be another Chinese dwarf. The same goes with Russian dwarfs. Two dwarfs will always get along no matter what age they are when they meet but sometimes it will take a little bit longer for a female to get used to itThey don't usually get along unless they were together since birth, especially males. Males like to fight for dominance, or if there is a female they will usually fight over her. A fight between any hamster can cause very serious injury of even death. THEY WILL NOT LIVE HAPPILY TOGETHER! UNLESS THEY HAVE BEEN TOGETHER SINCE BIRTH THEY WILL MOST LIKELY FIGHT! I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT PUT MORE THAN ONE HAMSTER IN ONE CAGE. IT CAN CAUSE VERY SERIOUS INJURY OR EVEN DEATH!

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can not It will DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
no, this does not mean that your hamster will die soon. However, if you have a dwarf hamster, the life expectancy is only about 11/2 - 2 years. A regular hamster lives about five years. But if you are bitten, you should watch out for sign of a flu-like disease or an infection in or on the bitten are. Many hamsters carry diseases that can be easily transferred to human so always keep bites clean and wash your hands immediately after holding your hamster.
If you are deciding to buy a hamster then make sure you will give it a lot of care that is the same to all pets every pet and animal needs care and if you do get a hamster make sure you feed it, water it, play with it, care for it and handle it make sure you do all of that please and take care of your hamster. The best way to know if your hamster is in pain is to watch it. If it is not walking around normally or eating it is probably in some sort of pain.
