How old is she? Could be arthritis?
My dog has Diabetes and Arthritis and for the Diabetes we are giving him Insulin, for the Arthritis our Vet prescribed him " Tramadol " , which is another name for ""Ultram" which is a narcotic-like pain reliever used to treat moderate to severe pain. When I was diagnosed with Meningitis back in 1996 I was prescribed " Ultram" which was a joke, it was like giving me an aspirin because the pain was so severe. I am currently taking Morphine for my pain and have been fr the last 13 years. However, the " Tramadol " seems to be helping my dog with his arthritis because he is able to walk better and even a bit faster. He cannot jump up on my bed, and hasn't been able to since around December...we were told about his Diabetes and Arthritis in September. I am currently looking for a " Dog Ramp " so he can walk up the ramp and onto our bed. I was looking at "Dog Steps " but he can't walk up steps no matter how big or small the steps are, but still, his mobility is much better since he started taking the " Tramadol " AKA " Ultram " .
