Excellent diagnosis ... being stiff and cold is a pretty sure indication of death.
(The stiffness will go away, but she'll stay at room temperature.)
If it is like that, cold and not breathing, yes, it is dead.
Their breathing becomes laboured, they shake uncontrollably and their bodies become cold. They also begin to smell.its not breathing also slowing down.sleeping moredrooping down and "passing out",falling alseep.Very tired often,I advise removing the wheel,Because some old hamsters get too tired and plop down and sleep in the wheel, too tired to move.Hope this helps
If your hamster is jumpy and looking nervous then you should gently stroke it inside of it's cage and then feed it pieces of food out your hand then that way your hamster will come fond of your smell and will be used to you and when you handle it it wont be nervous no more.
Rigor mortis in hamsters typically sets in within 1-3 hours of death and can last for about 12-24 hours before the body relaxes again. If you're unsure if your hamster is dead, look for other signs such as lack of breathing or heartbeat, lack of response to stimuli, and a lack of body warmth. It's also a good idea to consult a veterinarian for guidance.
Yes, your hamster is likely dying. Two years, though not much time for is, is almost a complete life for a hamster. If she is not in any pain, then just enjoy the time you have left. If she does seem to be in pain, I would recommend visiting the vet. Blessings.
If the hamster is not moving or feels stiff to the touch, or if it doesn't respond to touch or other sensations, or if there is no involuntary "rise and lowering" of the body that is typical in normal breathing, it could very well be dead. Also, if the hamster is emitting a strong, "rotten" odor, it lends further credence to the "dead" theory.

if it is winter dont keep your hamster near a window or any cold places. try and make your hamster as warm as possible.if its cold it will probably get ill and probably will die. We dont want that to happen do we!
No,you should never put a hamster near drafts or hot hot climates.
The hamster may have a cold. I would advise you to take him to the vets.
There are a few reasons why a car might stall when cold. The car might just be stiff from the cold weather.
