That might be a good idea if you are pretty sure that it is pregnant. A guinea pig can deliver the babies off one side of her uterus and still carry young on the other. It is sometimes due to them being concieved later.
You can see a guinea pig is pregnant after a couple of weeks. When she is further into het pregnancy, her hips get wider and she gets a kind of pear-like shape.
When you discover your newly bought guinea pig is pregnant, always consult a vet because she might have been made pregnant by siblings in the pet shop and that can be dangerous for the babies.
Wait for 1 - 2 or 1 and a half weeks. They usually have about 4 - 6 babies .When the guinea pig has its babies, let the mother wean them (drink her milk) after 2 weeks they are ready to go. If you are selling them make sure yo inform the owner how to take care of it. If you are keeping them, keep the boys away from the girls othewise they will mate with them.
if you HAVE to but not adisably as the mother will be tender. you can hold the babies. i bred guineapigs for a long time. if you do hold the mother be very gentle but it should do no lasting harm
You should try to avoid handling a pregnant Guinea. Early on this can cause accidental harm to the forming babies and in later stages it can be very uncomfortable for mum. Use a cosy, tube or pigloo if you have to lift her up for any reason.
After you have brought your guinea pig home wait a few days. Then start feeding him/her fruit and veg from your hand. Once he/she is confident with hand feeding then you can stroke him/her whilst you are hand feeding. When he/she gets used to being stroked you can progress to picking him/her up and stroking on your lap. Remember to support the body evenly when handly (one hand near front legs and the other under the bum. NOTE: A normal bowl with pellets in should be used AS WELL as hand feeding. Good Luck!!!
After about a week and a half IF they are eating solid foods
You can begin to hold baby guinea pigs when they are a day or two old. Depending on their body language and thriftiness. If you pursue picking up a pup and the sow jumps at you or bites you-LEAVE IT BE. As for my sows, they are hand tamed and sweet and do not mind when I pick up their pups-but some pigs (even the sweetest)can get mean when it comes to their young. It is not the best to begin picking them up when they are first born because they have gone through a lot of stress. Just remember though, when you have them picked up do not hold them for too long but as they get older gradually hold them a little longer each day. Don't forget to take advantage of the time you have the pig in your hands to check it over and touch it to get it used to human contact and I like to weigh my pups and if they are light they get bottle fed. This is how you develop human bounds (not just to you) for your pups.
You can just don't hold the female guinea pig for to long. It can upset her and upsetting her can cause her to have miscarriage.
How would anyone know.
i think u should get to a vet or if shes pregnant then let her have her puppies she is ok if she has puppies but u should take her to the vet
You should not keep your guinea pig outside in the winter! They're natural climate is not cold and they cannot handle the cold. Your pig probably has a respiratory infection and she needs to see a vet right away. Please, please keep your guinea pig inside, even if it is just in your warm basement. They cannot handle winter weather. put the f%$# guinea pig inside!
If you know for a fact that she has been spayed, then the cat can NOT be pregnant.
A pregnant cat needs a grain free kitten food for extra nutrition wilst she pregnant and wilst shes nursing grain free means no rice, wheat or corn
If your rat is nesting and starting to get nipples, she may be pregnant, but it is possible that she is having a 'phantom pregnancy' where a rat show the signs of being pregnant but doesn't give birth to offspring.
She will be an eggplant shape.
how do you know when ones pregnant?well, it useually takees the male to get the female pregnant about 2 weeks. You know when shes pregnant by getting bigger in the stomach and wiggleing in the stomach, and shes eating more

if she has been in contact with males, then yes, she is probably pregnant. but if shes never seen a male in her life, then she may be getting fat or sick.
not without parents consent. the parent is still responsible for the girl regardless if shes pregnant or not.
No, she isn't pregnant, and she never was pregnant (shes a virgin).
