Im guessing it can, My cat died yesterday from that, they said it would cost 500$ or more just for one day to TRY to bring her back to good health. We didn't have the money and put her down with kisses all over. My advice is DONT let this go untreated, if your cat starts acting weird, stops eating, and eventually stops drinking go to a vet! I wish I went earlier.

Yes, dogs can get plaque on their teeth. Plaque is a sticky film of bacteria that can build up on their teeth if proper dental care is not provided. This can lead to dental issues such as gum disease and tooth decay if not addressed. Regular dental care and proper oral hygiene can help prevent plaque buildup in dogs.
Take him/her to the Vets as soon as you can, for now bathe with cotton wool and warm water and give him soft wet food, make sure he drinks a lot and you keep an eye on the tooth, no dentastixs or chewy stuff which will hurt him further Hope Your dog gets better, Amy
This morning my dog woke up with a severly swollen right eye. I took her to the vet and they thought is was an abcess in her mouth causing an infection that eventually spread to the eye area. They put her under anesthesia to look in her mouth and did not find any abcess. They tell me it's Retro Bulvar Cellulitus??? What exactly is this???
Excessive drooling and pawing at the mouth can be due to dental problems, mouth pain, or oral injuries such as a fractured tooth or foreign object stuck in the mouth. It's important to take your cat to a vet for a thorough examination to determine the underlying cause and provide appropriate treatment.
Yes you can, I had a really bad abcess tooth for 8 days, then started taking smz tmp and 95% of the swelling has stopped. Next step is the dentist. There is no quick fix for an abcess tooth, eventually you have to see a dentist.
An abscess is basically an infection of the tooth. It usually begins at the root of the tooth, and is associated commonly with a cavity. So basically, one way to possibly get an abscessed tooth is to have a cavity with an infection.
a fewer? you mean fever? ITS NOT UNCOMMON. But its a sign of infection or abcess.
yes. not a tooth abscess, but a gum abscess. These need to be treated with antibiotics.
yes. If your tooth has an infection called an abcess, it can travel into the bloodstream. Abcessed teeth need to be extracted or treated with a root canal or periodontal treatment.
A tooth that has developed an abcess is infected. The infection can cause fever and pain all over that side of the face.
It usually indicates an abcess which is a serious infection and needs to be treated as soon as possible.
Augmentin can provide a minimal amount of temporary relief for a tooth abscess, but ultimately an abscess will require oral surgery. See your dentist as soon as possible to get treatment.
I would not wait to take an antibiotic for an abcess tooth! If you get the tooth pulled with the infection still in site...you are in for one rude awakening when he attempts to pull that tooth!
Yes, usually. If they are in good health, but if they are in poor health, depending on the severity of the infection, they might be treated in the hospital. If the abcess is not bad, and the tooth has good bone protection around it, and the other teeth do too, a root canal can be done to take out the infected nerve, and with antibiotics after the root canal is complete, the abcess 99% of the time will go away. Then the tooth will SOMETIMES need a crown, but sometimes a tooth colored fillng can be done, if the elderly person is not concerned with esthetics.
Canine means of dogs. A canine tooth, for example, is the kind of pointy tooth that dogs have.
It depends on how much patients come in 5 days....for abcess tooth dentist can earn $1500 each
