depending on what kind of ants. never swallow them just incase, you could end up dead. for example; fire ants, they bite then sting so that would cause suffocation and you would die:)

There are 8 varieties of Swallow. They are the Barn Swallow, Cave Swallow, Cliff Swallow, Bank Swallow, Northern Rough-winged Swallow, the Violet-green Swallow, Tree Swallow, and the Purple Martin.

Adult ants cannot chew and swallow solid food. Instead they swallow the juice which they squeeze from pieces of food. They throw away the dry part that is left over.

The way in which ants dig their holes in the ground is by picking up soil in their mouth, holding it between their jaws and then depositing it in a heap out of the way. Ants don't eat or swallow the soil and it is usually the worker ants in the colony that dig holes.
