The most popular children's show featuring Hammy the hamster was ""Tales of the Riverbank" where Hammy, GP (the Guinea Pig) and Roderick (the rat) had many adventures with their friends in the countryside. They were live animals filmed with a recorded voice describing the action and providing the animals voices. It was originally produced in Canada for CBC and had limited syndication to other countries.
A happy hamster sits in the corner of his cage nibbling away at food, or runs around his play wheel. A scared hamster will not be eating and makes furtive movemnts of the body while looking around ina panicked way. A sad hamster - sorry can't answer this one. A sad hamster sits and uh uh uh nvm
the best way to introduce your hamster to handling is to let them come to your hand. if you were a hamster you wouldn't want to be grabbed! show that you are not a threat by putting your hand in the cage near the hamster without touching it and slowly moving it away from the hamster. this way your hamster is more likely to come to your hand. avoid quick movements as this will scare your hamster. when your hamster has had enough leave it or it wont come out when you are there. though it may take time, your hamster will gradualy get used to your hand and wont mind being held! i am in the process of taming my fourth hamster at the moment! hope i helped!
If the hamster is now behaving normally and doesn't show any signs of injuries or distress, it's likely that it will be okay. However, it's always a good idea to monitor the hamster for any unusual behavior or symptoms and seek veterinary advice if any concerns arise. Hamsters are resilient animals, but accidents can still cause injuries that may not be immediately visible.
I can't display images as I am a text-based assistant, but I can describe the proper way to hold a hamster for you. When picking up your hamster, gently scoop it up with both hands, supporting its body and ensuring it feels secure. Keep your hands close to the ground to prevent any accidental falls. Avoid squeezing or restraining the hamster too tightly.
you get a peice of food and put it on the ground your hamster will sniff it and go right to you11works like a charm!! If your hamster is in a room and the door was closed when it got loose, just stay perfectly still. Try to listen for scratching sounds. If not, scratch any dresser or deks type thing and listen. If you hear it, look EVERYWHERE you hear it. In droors, behind droors. Basically behind, in, or under anything you can think of that's nearby By hamsterluver224: Yes, I also think the old bucket trick works too. You put up a plank or something and a bucket baited with yummy food. Your hamster will walk up the ramp and fall into the bucket. Start looking in common hamster hiding places, like under droors, under beds, in bookcases, etc. My hamsters usually hide there. If you cannot find it there, look in unusual places like in blankets, in shoes, and in wrapping paper tubes. Or, you can leave its cage door poen with a trail of sunflower seeds leading to the cage and it will fall asleep in its cage by the next morning. Or, if you have more than one hammy, put a new nesting box in the cage and put the old one outside its cage with bedding. Or, you can buy harmless trap hotels for mice and bait it with treats. Good Luck! oh whats above `might work but make shure you put your hamster cage on the ground AND PUT WATER IN IT!
