For my horse i put rug on it all year round as it is old and clipped.
If you have a horse that has a thick coat then it would be ok in the wind although it would be a good idea to put a thin rug on during the rain. Also when it is extremely cold then you need a good thick rug to stop the animal from getting cold.
It is quite obvious for a horse that is clipped - rugs on for cold days and when its very cold then put a thick rug or rugs on.
If you have a choice of what time of year then it would be winter and other cold mnths but generally just the days that is cold and wet.
Hope i gave u an idea..x
You would put a blanket on a horse in the winter to save him from getting a cold or even dieing. However, if you do not clip your horse, it is better to leave him unblanketed. To tell if your horse is cold enough to blanket him, touch his ears. If the are cold, he is most likely cold. If they are not, he is fine as is. Also look for abnormal behavior. If he is standing listlessly with his head down, something is wrong, and it may be that he is cold.
It depends on how big the horse is or how wide its strides are. Pony= 1 step (approx) Large horse= 2/3 steps (approx) If you have riding lessons next time you ride see how many steps your riding instructor does for each horse or at least a horse approxmately the size of your horse. If your instructor (or someone good with horses) knows your horse well, try ask them.
for the first 3 years of its life,a female or male horse is called a foal.when the female is 3 years old its a filly, the male a colt(also the age they are able to be ridden!).at 5 years of age the filly is a mare and the colt is a stallion.
Horses should be turned out in the field daily for several hours to graze, play, and socialize. It's important for their physical and mental well-being. Additionally, turnout allows the horse to move freely and engage in natural behaviors.
You should always demand respect from your horse and especially during feeding time. A horse biting (at feeding time or anytime) is a sign of aggression and should be dealth with. In the wild, the horse would never bite at the lead mare. The lead mare tells them when and where they can eat. In short, your horse is saying they don't have much respect for you. Start by putting a halter and lead rope on your horse before you feed them so you can have some control. Put the hay or feed in their dish or regular eating place and using the halter, dont' let them eat for several minutes. You don't have to wait long, just a few minutes but show the horse that YOU decide when they can eat, not them. You showing your dominance at feeding time is very important in having a respectful relaltionship with your horse. If your horse freaks out when you don't let them have their feed right away then you definitely need to go back to the basics and teach that horse some basic ground manners. Gain some control by gaining some respect. There are many great trainers to get great advice from. As long as your horse is now violently aggressive, teaching ground manners is quite easy. There are numerous books and DVD's on the market that can help you. And training your horse can actually be a lot of fun!! A well mannered horse is so much more fun to be around. the time of year you put a coat on a horse is october with a light weight and when it gets to be colder, then you put a medium weight blanket on and then when it gets freezing then you put a heavyweight blanket on.
as long as you love horses, it shouldn't matter. but be in mind that you should be finacally prepared to take care of the horse and you should have enought time to put in with the horse. You should know about the horse's needs
You should blanket your horse in the winter months if you are located in a cold area. You can also blanket your horse on nights before a show in the winter but its mostly recommended you put the horse in an available stall.
a horse can live in a field but in the winter it should have a rug on to keep it warm and dry or you could put it in a stable for just the winter or all year round.
if you go to your 'stable' on the top of the screen then your horse should be there or go to the 'paddock' if your horse is there then click 'put my horse in the stable' if the horse is not there then he/she is in the stable.
You should put your horse to sleep anytime before midnight, game time(24:00). It will wake up the next day 2 months older.
Horses are most commonly started lightly in the fall of their second year. Then the get some time off and are put into full work at three years old.
depends how fat the horse is and the weather!
You should know this but anyway, you put the food in the bucket and feed it to the horse.
Horses should be left outside in a pasture except when being ridden where they can graze and sleep as they need to, as nature intended, which is the healthiest way for the horse. It really doesn't matter when you put your horse to bed, as long as you do it at the same time every day, because horses thrive on routine.
You should not put human hairspray on a horse. There are however sprays designed for horses that act in a similar way to human hairspray.
You should cut the horse up put it in a bucket and hide it in your room. You can then see your horse everyday and get a puppy :)
