There are many different species of wildlife in New Mexico. There is six different zones in New Mexico 1 - The Desert (Lower Sonoran Life Zone), 2 - The Grassland/Woodland (Upper Sonoran Life Zone), 3 - Mountain Zone (Transition Zone), 4 - Canadian Life Zone (Mixed Coniferous Zone), 5 - Hudsonian Zone (Subalphine Zone), 6 - Alpine Zone. The the wide diversity of New Mexico, many different species of animals and birds can be found in the different areas.
